Undo disregarded components

You can undo disregarded items, components, or assessments from either the little i button for an individual student or in bulk from the Disregard Components screen. This will reinstate the marks to be included in the final mark calculation.

Process Summary

There are two ways you can undo disregarded components:

  • From the Disregard Components screen: processing from this screen allows you to undo disregarded components in bulk for one or more students, items, components, or assessments.  
  • From an individual student's little i button: this is a useful way to undo the disregarded components for one student at a time. You can also recalculate and complete other actions for the student from here. 

Instructions for both methods are included below.

From the Disregard Components screen:
  1. From the Assessment Hub home page, click the Disregard components button at the bottom of the page
  2. Click the "View/undo disregarded components" button in the top right corner
  3. Select the students, items, components, and/or assessments you want to undo
    • You can select all or individual students, items, components or assessments
  4. Click Undo selected in the top left hand side of the page
    • A prompt will appear asking you to confirm you want to undo the disregarding 
  5. Click continue
    • You will now see a confirmation message. Click continue again

These changes will affect the course mark calculations. If you have already calculated, remember to recalculate as this does not happen automatically.

From the little i button for an individual student:
  1. Click Ratify and publish
  2. Locate the student from the list and click the little i button
  3. Locate the item, component, or assessment you want to undo
  4. Click the enter mark value
    • this is the mark listed under the Entered Mark column and will be underlined when you hover the mouse over it
    • Clicking this link will open a pop up box to amend the mark
  5. Untick the box "Disregard this question in the final mark calculation"
  6. Save changes
    • you can save changes and recalculate or just save changes. Remember if you don't recalculate here you will need to do this later as the course marks will not be automatically recalculated.
