Notification of outcome and next steps

You will receive an email confirming your portfolio has been successfully submitted. If you have not received this email, please ensure you have submitted your portfolio by ensuring the programmes on the ‘All Applications’ page of the portfolio tool states ‘View’ and the button is grey, rather than a green ‘Start’ or ‘Continue.’

A decision will be made on your application following portfolio assessment if you are academically qualified. If you do not meet the academic entry requirements, your application may be made unsuccessful before your portfolio submission is complete.

Portfolio submission is the only assessment tool used within Edinburgh College of Art – we do not operate interviews or applicant days.

Assessors will review your portfolio and then Admissions will begin making their decisions once all qualified portfolios have been reviewed. We aim to make all decisions by the end of April. Please note the UCAS deadline for Universities responding to applicants is the 16^th May 2024 (TBC) and a small number of applicants may need to wait until close to the deadline to receive a response.
