Disregard Components

To remove a particular assessment from the course mark / grade calculation, eg for special circumstances, select Disregard Components from the foot of the home page and follow the prompts. Components can also be re-instated.

 

Click the "Disregard components" button.

The assessment structure is displayed for you to make your selection for what to be disregarded.

If a whole assessment is to be disregarded click the top tick box.

However if you wish to only disregard specific items you may click the relevant tick boxes to select these.

The students will now be displayed. Use the tick boxes to select the relevant student(s) you want to drop from the selected assessment components.

Click Continue button to confirm.

After this change click the "Calculate Marks" button.

Click the Export marks button to view effect of disregarded component on students overall course mark.

In export marks display of student Disregard component is highlighted ith grey DR icon, the mark is displayed for reference but greyed out along with DR icon to stress the mark is disregarded.

Disregarded components can be re-instated into students course mark if required.
