Updating a programme collection

Retrieving & Amending Collections

 

Within the Amend DPT tool the Edit button holds the rule definition options. Here you may  amend or create Collections. 

 

In the rule definition screen you can work with the following:

• amend the credit limit for the collections for a minimum and maximum credits required
• set the core rule definition
• set the period of study if required

The individual course tab allows you to use the dynamic Course field to select an individual course.

 

The Courses in schools allows you to select the radio button next to the appropriate school collection. The title of the school collection relates to the credit levels involved and the schedules relating to the schools.

The studentsystems@ed.ac.uk address is presented for contact should a school collection not be available.

 

The courses in a subject tab allows you to select the subject area via the "subject area" dynamic field. With the subject area selected use the radio button to select the credit level.

 

 

The custom tab allows you to create your own collections.

use the "search for a collections containing a course" button to look for a collection using a course relevant to your DPT.

you can use the collection field to search for existing collection and the "view/edit courses in current collection" button to view the course in such collections.

use the "+Create new" button to create your own collections

The custom tab allows you to create your own collections.

The Collection name field allows you to title your collection.

The "add course to collection" dynamic field allows you to search for a specific course and the "Add course" button to then add this course to your new collection.

As you add courses they appear listed below (with the red button option to remove a course if required)

You can keep adding courses as needed.
