If there are validation errors raised for your DPT , you can see these displayed on the bottom menu bar.
To view a description of the errors you can click on the linked error count to see these displayed in a pop up window. An example can be seen below.

Once you resolve the issues the validation count will reduce and you can safely click in the 'Save changes'.
