Lisa Dawson is currently leading the Student Systems and Administration Directorate within the University of Edinburgh. She supports the delivery of world class student lifecycle functions, processes and systems through the leadership of the Student Systems and Administration directorate and the provision of effective and efficient related services. The directorate delivers a wide range of services, including the development, enhancement and support of student systems; management of the student record; timetabling service; student scholarships, bursaries, graduations, examinations, and student administration and front line services. The department is focused on supporting the delivery of an excellent student experience; supporting colleagues in Schools who support our students; and enhancing the use of data to support learning and teaching and the student experience. The role supports a number of important strategic initiatives and of particular importance in the next two years is the delivery of the Service Excellence Programme. Extensive experience Lisa joined Student Systems from Edinburgh's Telford College in March 2013. Before taking on the role of Director in February 2018, she acted as Head of Student Systems Operations, strategically managing the operational functions of Student Systems by developing, formulating and implementing relevant policies and procedures, ensuring that they were operated fairly and consistently inline with the Universities strategic aims and objectives, and relevant legislation and regulations.
