View guidance on adding and removing compulsory courses within your Degree Programme Table (DPTS). Add compulsory course To add a compulsory course to your DPT click on the '+Add compulsory course' button. Image This will display the 'Add compulsory course' window, presenting a free text 'Course' field for you to identify the course you want to add. Image Type in the course name or code within the field and click on the 'Add compulsory course' button when you have selected the correct course. This will add the course to the 'Compulsory courses' list. Edit compulsory course conditions Once you have added a compulsory course, you can click on the 'Edit' button to add 'Core course' rules and define a period that the '..student must take this couse in'. Clicking on the 'Edit' button displays the 'Edit compulsory course conditions' window. Image If the course is a 'core course' then select an option from the 'Is this a core course?' drop down menu. Further details of 'Core Course rules' can be found via the link at the bottom of this page. Leave the 'Perdio student must take this course in' drop down menu at 'Any period course is available' to ensure that any changes to the course delivery do not render your DPT invalid. Remove a compulsory course You can remove a course from the 'Compulsory courses' DPT list by clicking on the 'Remove' button to the right of each course. Image Clicking on the 'Remove' button will display the 'Confirm removal' window. Image The window also displays a message highlighting the function to 'drag and drop' courses within EUCLID, allowing you to reorder the course display if required. Click on the 'Remove compulsory course' button to confirm the removal of the course from display on the DPT compulsory course list. Click on the 'Save changes' button to commit your changes. Please note: If you search for a course that is no longer being delivered, you will see a 'NOT IN USE' prefix to the course title.
