EUCLID - Essential maintenance

We are upgrading EUCLID and our application system, resulting in downtime for some key systems.

The upgrade will begin on Friday 20 March 2026 from 2pm and run over the weekend, with all services restored by 9am on Monday 23 March 2026.

What will be affected?

During the upgrade the following will be unavailable:

•             EUCLID, including student record and admissions

•             Postgraduate and Visiting student application form

•             EUCLID/Applicant Hub for applicants

•             Application reference submission

•             Student Attendance Registers

•             Student Support Tools

•             Student Self Service

•             Exceptional Circumstances / Assessment Support application

•             ETA extra time adjustment tool

•             BI Suite universes that read directly from EUCLID: Schools; Registry; Admissions

•             Other Student data universes that do not read directly from EUCLID will remain available but return static data

How long will the upgrade last?

The upgrade will begin at 2pm on Friday 20 March 2026 and the student record system will be unavailable from then. 

During this time, anyone trying to access EUCLID will be redirected to this planned maintenance web page with information on the downtime.

We anticipate that affected systems will be available again by 9am on Monday 23 March 2026. 

Why is the upgrade happening?

The outage is required to carry out the annual upgrade of the student record system, which ensures we are using the latest version of the software and are in compliance with our software supplier support contract. 

We are not able to complete the upgrade over the course of a weekend, so a period of downtime on Friday is required. We realise that no time is a good time for downtime, but we have negotiated and agreed this timing with key stakeholders in Colleges, Schools and Professional Services.
