The Teaching Bursary in Scotland aims to encourage more people to train as secondary school teachers in selected STEM subjects and modern languages, and Gaelic at both primary and secondary education. These are the subjects with greatest demand for teachers. The £12,500 bursary is available in the next academic year whilst studying for a PGDE in the relevant subjects. Award The level of bursary is £12,500 per student.Students eligible for the bursary can also apply separately to SAAS to have tuition fees paid by the Scottish Government.
