The University will offer PhD scholarships for students starting their PhD research at the University in the 2026-2027 academic session.

The School of Physics and Astronomy is offering twelve scholarships to applicants who have applied to study either the MSc Theoretical Physics, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences for the 2026-2027 academics session.

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, The University of Edinburgh is offering 3 scholarships to students in Thailand, Mexico and Ghana applying for one-year postgraduate courses.

The University of Edinburgh is delighted to partner with the British Council to offer 5 fully funded scholarships for Women in STEM from the South Asia region.

This is a fully funded scholarship for women from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal) to pursue a Masters in a STEM subject at the University of Edinburgh.

Scholarships for PhD study to candidates who are citizens and permanent residents of the People's Republic of China at the time of applying.

A number of highly competitive scholarships are available each year to new research postgraduate students.
