Online Learning Scholarships

The University offers several scholarships specifically for online, part-time postgraduate programmes.

The University of Edinburgh’s MSc Internal Medicine will offer 5 scholarships that will cover 66% of tuition fee costs. Scholarships are available for one year to support continuing and new students and continuing students in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The University of Edinburgh will offer a number of scholarships for online learning Masters programmes for the 2025-2026 academic year, which includes full tuition fees with contribution towards cost of internet access.

We have a number of ASiT-Edinburgh Online Surgery bursaries, each worth £1500 annually, to support ASiT members undertaking the MSc in Surgical Sciences, ChMs in General surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urology and Endovascular & Vascular Surgery and the MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors.

Edinburgh Surgery Online will offer a number of scholarships for the part-time online Masters programme in Primary Care Ophthalmology for the 2025-2026 academic year.

There are a number of scholarships available which includes full tuition fees with contribution towards cost of internet access.

The Polish School of Medicine Memorial Fund supports a thriving scholarship programme that enables successful Polish medical doctor/scientist applicants to undertake a period of further study or research at The University of Edinburgh Medical School and related institutions.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) is offering 55 scholarships for applicants accepted for admission to eligible online masters programmes at the University of Edinburgh in the Academic Year 2024-2025.

The Anne Rowling Clinic will offer three online learning postgraduate scholarships for applicants commencing Stem Cells and Translational Neurology programmes in the academic year 2024-2025.

Gaining an Online Masters is an excellent way to earn a qualification which is equivalent to on-campus study, while at the same time continuing to work flexibly and live at home. Online postgraduate qualifications through the University of Edinburgh are fully equivalent to postgraduate degrees taught on campus.

Nine online learning scholarships are available in the field of Ophthalmology for students from Africa, Central and South Asia, Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Central and Latin America who have been accepted for admission to the two-year, part-time online ChM (Master of Surgery) in Clinical Ophthalmology in academic session 2024-2025.

Four scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2025-2026 academic session.

Each of these scholarships will support applicants who are from countries most impacted by climate change, for entry in 2024-2025 to the online Postgraduate Certificate Programme in Circular Economy at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI).
