Eligible students should apply for fee support under the Part-Time Fee Grant scheme. Part-time undergraduate students ordinarily resident in Scotland can apply to SAAS for a tuition fee grant. The level of grant available will be linked to the number of credits you are studying.EligibilityStudents studying part-time or distance learning undergraduate courses are not eligible for a student loan or bursary.To receive funding, you need to:meet SAAS residence conditionsearn less than £25,000 per year in gross income (before tax and National Insurance) in the tax year ending 5 April 2025, including bonuses, benefits and overtimehave left full-time compulsory education, such as high school If you are receiving any other support such as government training schemes, you will not be eligible for Part-time fee grant at the same time.To receive the Part Time Fee Grant, you must be:studying an eligible higher education coursecontinuing Professional Development with an eligible training provider in Scotland at levels 7 to 10 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).doing a minimum 30 to 119 SCQF credits in each year of your course.Please note that SAAS will only fund the minimum number of SCQF credits to gain a qualification.Graduate entry and part-time paramedic, nursing and midwifery courses are not eligible for PTFG.To see the amount for funding you would be eligible please refer to Part-time Funding Guide - SAASTuition Fee LevelsThe level of tuition fee support will be pro-rata on the number of SCQF credits you take.
