You will not have to start repaying your student loan until after the April you graduate or leave your programme of study. The Student Loans Company (SLC) will expect you to pay 9% of your annual income over £15,000 a year. Interest on the amount you owe will be linked to inflation, in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI). This means the amount repaid will be the same, in real terms, as was borrowed. Further details on the repayment of student loans can be found on the SLC website. Student Loans Company This article was published on 2024-07-29
