William Dickson Travelling Fund

This fund assists graduates of the University of Edinburgh of not more than three years standing (who may at the same time hold other scholarships, bursaries) in travelling for study or research.

Up to 10 awards of a maximum of £1000 each are available.

Applicants must already hold a degree from the University of Edinburgh to be eligible for this award.

Eligible applicants should complete an online application - Application form

A supporting reference should be submitted as part of the application process.  The referee should be an academic related to your proposed study or research. For current University of Edinburgh students this should be your supervisor or other academic member of staff.

The deadline for submitting your application is 5pm on Friday 1st May 2026.
