British Federation of Women Graduates

The British Federation of Women Graduates (BFWG) has limited funds to make awards to women graduates in their third year (or part-time equivalent) of doctoral research at the time the award is given out.

BFWG, affiliated to the Graduate Women International (GWI), encourages applicants to become members of the Federation with the aim of furthering links between female graduates throughout the world.

Eligibility

Awards are made as a result of competition with the criterion for an award being outstanding overall academic excellence with a proven ability to carry out independent research.   

Awards are open to woman doctoral students of all nationalities who are studying in England, Scotland and Wales.   Students in Northern Ireland are not eligible for BFWG awards.
