Education Beyond Borders postgraduate scholarship

The University of Edinburgh is offering scholarships for a full-time postgraduate programme at the University of Edinburgh starting in September 2026.

Funding available: The award covers part or full UK Home Tuition Fees plus a full or partial stipend which is in line with the UKRI minimum level. For the academic 2025/2026 academic year the stipend was to the value of £20,780 (UKRI rate).

Guidance

  • You do not have to apply for your chosen programme before you apply for this scholarship, although it is recommended you consider applying as early as possible as many programmes are in high demand.
  • You can't be awarded this scholarship if you’re not admitted to your chosen degree programme.
  • Deadlines for degree programme selections vary, so please check the deadline for your chosen programme.

Eligibility

You must have one of the following immigration statuses to be eligible to apply:

  • Asylum Seeker
  • Refugee status (not including indefinite leave to remain)
  • Humanitarian Protection
  • Limited leave to remain on the grounds of seeking protection
  • Leave under a resettlement Scheme.

You must also meet all the academic entry requirements of your chosen degree programme.

Applications will open from 10am (UK Time) on Tuesday 9th December 2025.
