The School is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for 2026-2027 entry. This scholarship commemorates Rev Dr John Ross who was responsible for bringing Christianity to Korea and directed the first Korean translation of the New Testament. One scholarship will be awarded to a new applicant from Korea who has applied for a postgraduate masters programme in the School of Divinity. Award One scholarship is available which will cover full tuition fees (please note that you will still need to fund your living costs - https://study.ed.ac.uk/postgraduate/fees-funding/living-costs). This award will be tenable for one academic year and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee. The scholarship award holder is expected to be an energetic member of our postgraduate community, and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award. We offer our postgraduates a range of training and development opportunities appropriate to their programme of study. Eligibility The scholarship will be awarded to applicants from North and South Korea who have applied for admission to a postgraduate masters degree programme of study in the School of Divinity, commencing in September 2026.Both taught Masters and Masters by Research programmes are eligible for this award. Criteria Applicants must have, or expect to obtain the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
