MSc Strength and Conditioning Scholarship and Work Placement

One scholarship will be awarded to an early-career S&C Coach applicant accepted onto the MSc Strength and Conditioning programme, funded by Fettes College. The successful applicant will subsequently undertake their S&C work placement with Fettes College.

The award is worth £5,000 and will be paid directly towards programme fees.


The scholarship will be awarded to applicants holding UK/Home fee status who have been accepted onto the MSc Strength and Conditioning programme.


This scholarship is awarded broadly on the basis of professional merit and evidence of early-career coach development as described in the scholarship application personal statement.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 1 year of S&C coaching experience with youth populations, from an internship, placement or paid employment.
  • Evidence of working towards a professional S&C accreditation, such as UKSCA Level 3 S&C Trainer or Level 2 workshops, or IUSCA Level 4.
  • Suitability for and commitment to the S&C work placement at Fettes College.
