ASiT - Edinburgh Surgery Online Bursary 2025-2026

We have a number of ASiT-Edinburgh Online Surgery bursaries, each worth £1500 annually, to support ASiT members undertaking the MSc in Surgical Sciences and the MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors.

Important Information

We have decided to pause entry to our ChM programmes for 2025/26. We are taking time to revise our teaching offering so have closed entry for this year.

Each bursary is worth £1500. Students do not need to apply for the bursary each year as it will automatically roll over provided they progress into the next year of the programme.

There are only a limited number of awards available. To be eligible, applicants;

  • Have at least conditional offer for MSc Surgical Sciences or MSc in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors.
  • Must be a member of ASiT
  • Must be resident in the UK

Students must send a CV as part of the application; they cannot be attached to the applications and so must be emailed to eso.scholarships@ed.ac.uk

New applicants will be prioritised but the bursary can also be awarded to current students.

The deadline for applications for this scholarship is Monday 2nd June 2025. 

You must have made an application for the Masters and have been issued at least a conditional offer to be considered. 

Offers for scholarships will be made competitively.


All applicants will be notified of the result of their application by the end of August 2025.
