A generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust will fund one PhD in Social Work for a student whose research focuses on one-parent families. Award This award covers full tuition fees at UK, EU or Overseas level. The awardee will also receive a maintenance stipend set to the UKRI level for 2025-2026. The UKRI level for 2024-2025 is currently £19,237 for full-time students, or the pro rata equivalent for part-time students, and a £750 annual research grant.The award is made for three years for full-time students or six years pro-rata for part-time students.The award has been made possible by a generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust. Ms Macqueen played a leading role in bringing the struggles of single-parent families to the attention of the public and policy and lawmakers. Eligibility This award is available to students intending to commence a PhD in Social Work in September 2025 on either a full-time or part-time basis. There are two supervisor -led proposals and applicants can choose one of these projects to apply for.
