John Fisher High Performance Computing (HPC) Scholarships

The John Fisher High Performance Computing (HPC) Masters Scholarship aims to support the development of the HPC workforce by providing the best students funding for a Masters in HPC or HPC with Data Science.

We are offering up to 2 scholarships for the sum of up to £15,200 each.  These awards will be tenable for 1 academic year and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee.

These scholarships are offered to applicants for the full-time on-campus Masters (MSc) programmes in High Performance Computing and High Performance Computing with Data Science.

The scholarships will be awarded to new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate taught Masters degree programme of study at the University commencing in September 2025.

Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit to applicants who are accepted for admission for the MSc in HPC or the MSc in HPC with Data Science.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate their motivation for studying HPC and explain how the MSc will enable them to meet their career goals, and how the scholarship will better enable them to do that.

Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.

The scholarship deadline will be 23:59 GMT on 03/03/2025.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd our web based information portal at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
