There are a number of public and private funding sources available to students at the School.

One partial scholarship to be allocated to any applicant on the LLM in Comparative and European Private Law starting in September 2024. This award has been made possible thanks to the generous legacy of Edinburgh Law School alumnus Ewen Cameron.

Edinburgh Law School offers a number of full PhD studentships, one of which is provided through a generous bequest from alumnus Ewen Cameron in his name.

One or more scholarships are available for postgraduate research in Scots private law at the University of Edinburgh for a period of one year leading to the degree of LLM by Research (ie by a thesis of up to 30,000 words).

Edinburgh Law School wants to assure all students and staff of its commitment to EU Law teaching and to all of our staff, students, and visitors from the EU. We are a European Law School and remain devoted in our support of all who wish to study with us. As such we are delighted to be able to offer a scholarship for applicants to the LLM in European Law for 2024-25.

The School offers many scholarship opportunities at the Masters, PhD and mid-career level.

This award is open to all applicants who have applied to a taught LLM or MSc programme starting in the 2024-25 academic year at Edinburgh Law School.
