The Energy Transition Centre for Masters’ Training (CMT) Bursary 2025

The Energy Transition Centre for Masters’ Training (CMT) will be awarding 6 CMT Bursaries, each valued at £6000 per annum, for students who will be enrolled in an energy geoscience-related MSc course for the forthcoming academic year 2025/26.

The principal objective of this CMT initiative is to attract highly talented students into vocational training in energy geoscience; an integral UK “home-grown” part of the energy sector. As we are well aware, the continuing decline in student (UG and PG) numbers in geoscience over the past few years is a concern. The intent of the Bursaries is to make a contribution to reverse this trend.

Six bursaries of £6000 per annum will be funded by the CMT to support students undertaking an MSc in Energy Geoscience (or related subject) in the UK for the academic year 2025/26. Funding will be sent directly to the University
