Higgs Scholarships

The School of Physics and Astronomy are offering twelve scholarships to applicants who have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc Theoretical Physics programmes of study for the 2023-2024 academic session.

Awards

We are offering 12 scholarships, for the sum of £10.000 each.  These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will be deducted from the tuition fee.

Eligibility

Applicants must have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Theoretical Physics, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences programmes of study commencing in academic year 2025-2026.

Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Financial need may also be considered, especially where the award of a Scholarship will be key for enabling a student to take up the offer of a place on our MSc programme.

Applying

We shall start to accept applications via the Scholarships Portal in Euclid soon. This page will update as soon as this is open.

The application deadline will be 23:59 BST on Monday 16th June 2025.
