The School of Engineering will offer Masters scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic session. The School of Engineering will offer Masters scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic session. The Scholarships are supported by the Edinburgh & SE Scotland City Region Deal and funded by the Scottish Government. The scholarships form part of the inclusive growth objectives and outcomes for the integrated regional employability and skills (IRES) program. Awards Awards are available to new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate Masters, postgraduate Diploma or postgraduate Certificate to study at the School of Engineering commencing in September 2025. The scholarships are tenable for two years and are worth £9,000 for a postgraduate Masters, £6,000 for a postgraduate Diploma and £3,000 for a postgraduate Certificate and will be applied towards the cost of tuition fees. Eligibility This scholarship is available to students who (1) qualify for UK Home Fees, and (2) are domiciled or working in the South-East of Scotland, more specifically the councils’ areas of East Lothian, Mid Lothian, West Lothian, City of Edinburgh, Fife and Scottish Borders at least during their studies.Applicants must have been accepted for admissions on either of the following programmes:MSc Fire Engineering ScienceMSc Sustainable Energy SystemsMSc Urban Strategies and designPG Dip Sustainable Energy SystemsMSc Advanced Sustainable Design Criteria The scholarship will be awarded on the basis that the applicant must be working or have clear working aspirations in the Housing, Construction and Infrastructure sector.Applications are particularly welcome from applicants of groups underrepresented in the construction industry (public and private sector), especially those identifying as women, BAME, with a disability, veteran of the armed forces, and/or with caring responsibilities.
