HTML AwardsWe are offering two scholarships, each covering the UK tuition fee only for the MSc in East Asian Studies Programme (Chinese Studies). These awards will be tenable for one year only for full-time study and two years for part time study and will be deducted from your tuition fee. All scholarship award holders are expected to be energetic members of our postgraduate community, and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award.EligibilityThe scholarships will be awarded to new applicants who have applied for admission to the MSc in East Asian Studies programme at the University of Edinburgh commencing in September 2025. Only students who take a Chinese Studies pathway through the programme are eligible for this award. Applications will be considered from UK and Overseas applicants wishing to study full-time or part-time.Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.CriteriaOverseas applicants should be aware that they will be responsible to the difference between the Home Fee and the Overseas fee and should budget accordingly.ApplyingThe award deadline is the 5th May 2025. Applicants with a live application for a programme within the required fields, will be contacted shortly thereafter for information on the award application process.NotificationSuccessful applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of July 2025.
