Several scholarships are available for qualified students.

This award supports a Scottish or UK-domiciled student to study Creative Writing at postgraduate, taught masters level.

The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh is delighted to invite applications for a postgraduate scholarship to be awarded in 2026-2027.

These awards will be available to postgraduate students who are accepted onto the full-time MSc Creative Writing programme.

The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures will offer one award for study in any romance literature, language or dialect.

Designed to support the development of Japanese Studies in the UK, this scheme annually provides a limited number of postgraduate awards.

The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh will offer two scholarships for the Masters in East Asian Studies programme (with Chinese Studies) for entry in September 2026.

We are offering a small number of scholarships for entry in September 2026.

For entry in September 2026 or January 2027, we hope to offer one student on our Korean Studies PhD programme a prize of up to £5,000.

The University will offer PhD scholarships for students starting their PhD research at the University in the 2026-2027 academic session.

The College Research Student Awards scheme is designed to attract high quality students applying for PhD research.
