Soft Matter for Formulation and Industrial Innovation’ (SOFI CDT)

The SOFI CDT is funded by the EPSRC. It is a tri-institutional collaboration between the Universities of Durham, Edinburgh and Leeds, with the core aim of training the next generation of industrial SOFI science and enterprise leaders through a rich programme of industrially integrated postgraduate training.

All students joining the CDT will initially be registered at Durham University where they will stay for the first six months.   After the first six months of cohort training and exposure of the entire CDT network, students will decide their PhD project and will then be registered for a PhD at the appropriate university.

Award

The 48 month studentship includes tuition fee payment, stipend at the standard EPSRC rate, and generous allowances for equipment, conference and workshop allowance.
