Menzies Bursaries

Four bursaries, currently of £200 p.a. (or as the patrons shall determine) for 4 years; tenable at the Universities of St Andrews, Glasgow or Edinburgh. Candidates must undertake to pursue a full graduation course.

A preference is given in the following order:

  • To relatives of the founder, James Menzies, fish merchant in Glasgow;
  • To persons of the name of Menzies;
  • To persons born on the estate of Menzies in the Parishes of Dull, Weem, and Fortingall; and
  • To the person who shall be judged best qualified and most deserving.
