Funding is available in the School of Mathematics.

The School of Mathematics is able to provide PhD scholarships for up to 20 new students per academic year.

One scholarship is available to the most outstanding postgraduate student in Operational Research.

MAC-MIGS is a prestigious EPSRC-funded PhD programme in Mathematical Modelling, Analysis and Computation, run jointly by Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt universities, as part of the Maxwell Institute Graduate School, that offers fully-funded scholarships.

Fully funded scholarships to enable students to pursue Masters and PhDs in Maths, Statistics, Theoretical Physics and Artificial Intelligence.

The University will offer PhD scholarships for students starting their PhD research at the University in the 2025-2026 academic session.

The School of Mathematics is offering a number of scholarships for students applying to study a Masters programme in Mathematics. These scholarships cover up to 50% of the programme fee. These awards will be based on academic merit and available to applicants domiciled in the eligible countries.
