Your tuition fee status will indicate the level of expected annual tuition fee charged in the event of your entry to the University. Education (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 How we calculate fee status We will attempt to assess your fee status based on the information provided in your application regarding nationality and where you are ordinarily resident. You will be notified of your fee status immediately in your account on the University's MyEd portal. Please take time to check this information. Where insufficient information is available in your application a query fee status will be assigned and you will be required to complete a fee status questionnaire. Fee status questionnaire (FSQ) If you receive a notification to complete a fee status questionnaire it is important that you complete the questionnaire as soon as possible. You should ensure full information is provided along with supporting documentation, enabling us to determine your fee status as quickly as possible. After completing the questionnaire the Fees and Student Support Team may contact you to request further information. Please respond to any request for information as soon as possible. You should be aware that if any information is not supplied on the fee status questionnaire, this information cannot subsequently be considered in a request for a review or appeal of fee status. Fee status questionnaire FAQs Offer of admission and fee status Undergraduates should be aware of the following statement in the undergraduate terms and conditions: If the University makes an offer to an applicant, then the University later revises its assessment of the applicant’s fee status as at the relevant date, then the applicant’s UCAS application may be reassessed and the University’s offer may be withdrawn. Review and appeal request A request for a review of your fee status must be made within 14 days of the initial determination of your fee status, and a request for an appeal should be made within 14 days of a response to your request for a review. The request should be emailed to fees@ed.ac.uk If you are dissatisfied with your fee status classification, or your circumstances change in a way which may affect your fee status, you are entitled to request a review. We aim to process this request within seven working days. After you have received the outcome of your review, if you still disagree with our decision you may appeal in writing. We aim to respond to a request for an appeal within seven working days. Reviews and appeals should be requested before you accept any offer of admission. If the University makes you an offer, then the University later revises its assessment of your fee status on the basis of information provided with your review or appeal request, your application may be reassessed and the University's offer may be withdrawn.
