One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant accepted onto a PGDE programme who intends to make contributions to the effective teaching of Scottish secondary school curriculum in mathematics or science-based subjects. The following PGDE Secondary Education programmes are eligible for this scholarship: Chemistry, Design and Technology, Maths, Biology and Physics.

This is new MScR Scholarship from the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences open to home (Scotland/UK) fee applicants only for the academic year 2026/2027.

The Business School Positive Action for LGBTQ+ MSc Scholarship programme is based on merit and is available to applicants holding an offer for a taught Masters commencing in September 2026 at the Business School.

The Boloz-Kulesza Trust Fund enables a successful Polish medical doctor/scientist to undertake the MSc in Clinical Education. This is an online part-time three-year programme at The University of Edinburgh.

The College Research Student Awards scheme is designed to attract high quality students applying for PhD research.

The Scholarship will cover full tuition fees towards the PgProfDev or PgCert in Surgical Writing and Evidence Based Practice. The maximum scholarship award available for 2026/2027 entry is £5070.

The University of Edinburgh’s MSc Internal Medicine will offer 5 scholarships that will cover 66% of tuition fee costs. Scholarships are available for one year to support continuing and new students and continuing students in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The Business School Daya Analytics (Online) Scholarship programme is based on merit and is available to applicants holding an offer for MSc Data and Decision Analytics (Online) commencing in September 2026.

We are offering one scholarship which includes full tuition fees for one of our MSc programmes for entry in the 2026-2027 academic year and a contribution towards cost of living. This scholarship is available for students who are eligible to pay home fees and living in Scotland, and who meet at least one of our widening participation criteria.

The School is delighted to offer two scholarships to UK applicants accepted onto the MSc Education (Early Childhood Practice and Froebel) Pathway in the 2026-2027 academic session, funded by the UK Froebel Trust.

This new scheme helps students from low-income Scottish households undertake masterʼs programmes of study at Scottish universities. It helps to cover the cost of tuition fees and, in some cases, will offer additional support for study costs. Please note applications will open from 1st May 2026.

The School of Geosciences, with support from the Data Lab Academy and the Scottish Funding Council are offering one fully funded scholarship for the MSc Geographical Information Science and Earth Observation for the 2026-27 academic session. The successful recipient must undertake specified courses in spatial data science as part of their Masters degree.

An agreement has been made between the University of Edinburgh and the Association of Turkish Alumni and Students in Scotland, to establish and fund an award for Turkish PhD students at the University of Edinburgh.
