The University of Edinburgh has partnered with the Bseisu Foundation (https://www.bseisufoundation.org) to provide scholarships for displaced students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine to undertake masters programmes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The Saint Andrew's Society of the State of New York Scholarship funds one year of study in or near New York City for the 2026-2027 academic session. Candidates must be Scottish by birth or descent and will be expected to have current knowledge of Scotland and Scottish current affairs, and of the Scottish tradition generally.

These scholarships will support applicants who are Chilean citizens domiciled in Chile for entry in 2026/2027 for MSc programmes in Data & AI Ethics and Circular Economy at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI), for full time, on campus study.

The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships are funded by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission (CSC), dependent from the UK government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.They are aimed at candidates from low and middle-income who would like to undertake part-time, distance learning study on eligible postgraduate programmes offered at universities in the UK.

A number of scholarships are available to students of outstanding ability who have International fee status for full-time undergraduate study in any degree offered by the School of Mathematics.

The award is funded through a bequest from the estate of Ruth Page.One scholarship will be awarded to a new applicant from Oceania, Indonesia or Japan who has applied for a postgraduate masters programme in the School of Divinity

The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Africa (belonging to one of the Churches listed) who is accepted on a full-time basis for a one-year postgraduate Masters programme of study within the School of Divinity and who has an official endorsement from the General Secretary or Principal Clerk of their Church.

The Energy Transition Centre for Masters’ Training (CMT) and the Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB) will be jointly funding 12 Bursaries, each valued at £6000 per annum, for students who will be enrolled in an energy geoscience-related MSc course for the forthcoming academic year 2026/2027.

The Kathleen Meek PhD Scholarship scheme is designed to attract high quality students applying for PhD research in English.

One PhD is available for Home fee-status applicants to the PhD Linguistics & English Language within the School of School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences. Applicants should be working on a topic in the field of English Language.

One further PhD award is available to Home fee-status applicants to the PhD English Literature within the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures.

The Burdett Trust for Nursing was established in 2002 with the aim of making charitable grants to support the nursing contribution to healthcare. The scholarships have a particular focus on developing research capacity and leadership within the nursing profession.
