Daniella Sciama Award for Achievement through Adversity

An annual award has been established in honour of Daniella Sciama who died in December 2013 following a sudden asthma attack, having lived with a range of chronic conditions throughout her childhood. Daniella, who was just 18 years of age when she died, was studying International Business and Economics at the University of Edinburgh.

Award

The award will be made to a current student of the University of Edinburgh who has made significant achievements in the face of adversity.  The award will recognise the extraordinary results that students achieve in the face of unforeseen challenges and adversity.

The value of the award is £1,000.
