The University is offering an international scholarship for the most academically gifted Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Masters students applying from France, Germany and Spain to study eligible programmes in the University’s College of Science and Engineering. These awards, which cover £10,000 towards tuition fees for PGT Masters students studying on campus during the 2025/26 academic year, will be tenable for the first year of study only. Terms and Conditions • You will only be eligible for the Scholarship once you have received and firmly accepted an unconditional offer to join any of the University’s eligible, full-time, on-campus PGT Masters programmes in the College of Science and Engineering, and meet the grade requirements outlined in Table 1. If you are required to pay a programme deposit for your Masters programme, and you do not accept and pay the required Masters programme deposit within the given time frame then you will forfeit your scholarship offer as well as your programme offer • This scholarship is a £10,000 tuition fee reduction only, and applied directly towards your tuition fees. It is not transferable as a cash award or in any other format. • Only one University of Edinburgh scholarship per student can be accepted, and you must inform us by email at futurestudents@ed.ac.uk if you are in receipt of any other University of Edinburgh scholarships or bursaries. If offered multiple awards, you must select which one to accept. In the absence of instruction from you, we will award the higher-value scholarship. • The European Merit Scholarship (France, Germany, Spain) is only available to students starting in the 2025/26 academic cycle, therefore it is not possible to defer the award of this Scholarship to future academic years. • If studying on a programme of more than one year in length, the Scholarship can be used for the first year of study only. • Candidates receiving a full tuition fee scholarship from an external third party for the academic year would not be eligible for this Scholarship. However, if you are receiving partial tuition fees from an external third party, you may still be eligible for this Scholarship, as long as the combined total of all awards does not surpass the full tuition fee for the academic year.• Award recipients are responsible for all costs and expenses relevant to their study, accommodation and other matters which are not covered by this Scholarship, including any remaining tuition fee payments, accommodation, meals, books, travel, etc. As detailed above, you may be required to provide a deposit or pre-payment for your programme of study if this is a requirement of your offer. • This Scholarship is personal to each recipient and cannot be transferred to any other party.
