Minor corrections After the viva, the examiners may ask students to make minor corrections to the thesis. These may be editorial corrections or to address minor weaknesses before the award is confirmed. Corrections will need to be submitted within three months (or four if a further oral exam is recommended). Additional work After the viva, the examiners may ask students to carry out additional work on the thesis, which may require further supervision. These corrections, which will be stipulated by the examiners, will entail more work than is required for minor corrections.
