Do I need formal approval in order to introduce learning analytics arrangements in my School?

This depends on the nature of the planned activities. Learning analytics activities that will involve providing targeted / personalised support to students need approval from a review group (see above), as do some other categories of activities. See section 7 of the Policy and Procedures document for further information.

I want to introduce learning analytics arrangements in my School what advice and support is available?

How do I ensure that the learning analytics activities are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations?

The Policy and Procedures document is designed to assist staff to comply with the GDPR. The University’s Data Protection Officer can provide further advice.

Where can I find out more about learning analytics training and using analytics from the Virtual Learning Environment?
