Updated policies relevant to programme and course operation and management.

Updated

Programme and Course Approval and Management Policy

The policy has been subject to substantial review and revision following consultation. The most significant amendments relate to:

  • definition of major changes to programmes;
  • definition and governance of non-credit bearing courses;
  • information contained within this policy vs the information in the Board of Studies Terms of Reference;
  • governance and approval mechanisms for competence standards.

The policy also provides more clarity regarding responsibilities for communicating information to current and prospective students, including changes to programmes and courses, and information regarding competence standards.

The updated policy will be published on 1 August.

Open Educational Resources Policy

There have been minor amendments to this policy across three areas: Intellectual Property Rights; Generative AI; Training & Guidance.  The policy outlines the University’s position on OERs and provides guidelines for practice in learning and teaching.
