Our team provides administrative support for the University’s senior academic committees, particularly the Senatus Academicus (Senate) and a number of its standing committees.

The core function of the Senate is to regulate and superintend the teaching and discipline of the University and to promote research. The Senate is chaired by the Principal & Vice-Chancellor.

News from the Senate Committees' Meetings

The Academic Policy and Regulations Committee (APRC) is responsible for the University's framework of academic policy and regulation. Previously this Committee was known as the Curriculum and Student Progression Committee (CSPC) until the end of 2018/19.

The Education Committee is responsible, on behalf of Senate, for taught and research student matters, particularly strategy and policy concerning learning, teaching and the development of curriculum, including education technology and educational aspects of information technology more broadly.

The Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) is responsible for the University's academic quality assurance framework.
