Study implications if you have a Graduate or High Potential Individual (HPI) visa

Important information and instructions for Graduate or High Potential Individual (HPI) visa holders. This guidance doesn't apply to dependant visas.

Important information for Graduate or High Potential Individual (HPI) visa holders

Both the Graduate and High Potential Individual (HPI) visas have a specific study condition, that won't allow you to start a full-time on-campus programme at our University.

You must instead apply for - and obtain – a new Student visa before your programme start date.

You will not be able to complete international check-in prior to obtaining a Student visa. Please see instructions below on how to complete check in once you've been granted a new Student visa for your studies.

If you have an offer to study an on-campus programme at our University (we are the student visa sponsor) and it leads to an approved qualification, you will not be able to start the studies using Graduate or High Potential Individual (HPI) visa permission.

You will need to apply for a new student visa and have received a successful decision. You must be on Student visa permission prior to your programme start date. You will not be able to complete international check-in prior to obtaining a Student visa. Please see the below instructions on how to complete check in if you have a new Student visa.
