Repeating studies

If you need to repeat any study, what you are charged depends on if you are repeating a full year, courses or exams, and on your sponsor for your tuition fees.

Information on funding for repeat year students

Repeating a full year of study

If you repeat a full year of study, you will be charged the applicable full-time annual tuition fee.

Repeating courses on a part-time basis

If you repeat courses on a part-time basis, you will be charged according to the number of credits taken proportionally to the applicable full-time annual tuition fee.

Repeating on an exam only basis

If you repeat on an exam only basis, you will not be charged an annual tuition fee for the year for which you are repeating.

Studying a year of your programme part-time over two years for students funded by SAAS

If you are taking a year of your programme part-time over two years as a first attempt, and usually apply to the Student Award Agency Scotland (SAAS) for funding, please inform SAAS of your change in mode of study as you may no longer be eligible for undergraduate funding.

Courses that amount to more than 80 credits and you are studying on a part-time basis

If you take courses that amount to more than 80 credits, you will be charged the applicable full-time fee.

If you take 80 credits or fewer you will be charged according to the number of credits taken proportionally to the applicable full-time fee.
