Fee arrangements for full-time masters

Our policy explains tuition fees for full time postgraduate taught study, including those taught over multiple years, and fees when admitted to a masters but exiting without an award, or exiting with a diploma or certificate.

Full-time study over a single year

Full-time candidates for the following masters degree programmes taking place over a single year pay one full-time annual fee:

  • LLM 
  • 1 year MSc
  • MTh
  • MMus
  • MBA 

Full-time study over multiple years

For multi-year full-time masters programmes, you will pay the full-time annual feein each year of study. This includes:

  • the Master of Social Work degree programme with full-time annual fees paid in each of your two years of full-time study.
  • the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology degree programme (DClinPsychol) with full-time annual fees paid in each of your three years of full-time study. The fee arrangements for this programme are organised via NHS Education for Scotland.

Exiting with a diploma or certificate 

If you are admitted to a masters programmes but exit without an award or with an award of Diploma (PGDip) or Certificate (PGCert), you will be liable for the appropriate full-time masters-level annual fee.
