Rest of UK and Channel Island students

If you are an RUK student, you can apply to the Student Loans Company (SLC) for a loan to cover your tuition fees while studying abroad.   The SLC covers student finance for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

If you are unsure of the type of study away you will be participating in when making your funding application, please apply for the maximum tuition fee loan and once your student records has been updated with your study away, the University will amend your loan amount as applicable.

Please note -  a Full Year is more than 1 semester and a Part Year is 1 semester or less.

Mandatory non-exchange study abroad programmes

You will not be liable for these additional fees if:

• you are on a mandatory non-exchange (non-Turing) study abroad programme and,
• separate tuition fees are charged by the host institution

Your School will fully fund the tuition fees to the host institution.

You will be liable for payment of all fees due at the partner institution if:

• you are on an optional non-exchange study abroad programme and,
• separate tuition fees are charged by the host institution
