If you are withdrawing from the University of Edinburgh, our policy for undergraduate study explains the fees you will need to pay. You may be liable for part of or all of your tuition fee or loan, depending on when you withdraw from the University. Self-funded students Withdrawing before 18 February If you start your studies in Semester 1 and withdraw before 18 February, you will be liable for 60% of the annual tuition fees. Withdrawing after 18 February If you withdraw after this date, you will be liable for payment of the full session fees for the programme of studies. Withdrawing within the first couple of weeks of study If you withdraw from a programme - with appropriate academic approval - within the first couple of weeks of starting your studies, no tuition fees will be charged at the discretion of the University. Tuition fees funded by Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) If you are funded by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS), you will not be liable for tuition fees if you withdraw before 1 December. SAAS will pay the full tuition fee for all students in attendance at 1 December. Tuition fees funded by the Student Loans Company (SLC) The Student Loans Company includes Student Finance England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Withdrawing before the start of semester 2 If you withdraw before the start of semester 2 and you receive a tuition fee loan from the Student Loan Company (SLC), you will be liable for 25% of your tuition fee loan. Withdrawing before spring vacation If you withdraw before the spring vacation, you will be liable for 50% of your tuition fee loan.
