Rest of UK and Channel Island students

If you are due to be on a mandatory year abroad and this is then cancelled by the University, the University will honour the tuition fees published in the below table for that academic year. 

If you are due to be on an optional year abroad and this is then cancelled, you will be charged the full tuition fee due for that academic year. 

If you are an RUK student, you can apply to the Student Loans Company (SLC) for a loan to cover your tuition fees while studying abroad.

The SLC covers student finance for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

* the reduced fee for semester two study away only applies if your programme was due to have a mandatory study away period which covered the whole academic year

Mandatory non-exchange study abroad programmes

You will not be liable for these additional fees if:

• you are on a mandatory non-exchange (non-Erasmus) study abroad programme
• separate tuition fees are charged by the host institution

Your School will fully fund the tuition fees to the host institution.

Optional non-exchange study abroad programmes

You will be liable for payment of all fees due at the partner institution if:

• you are on an optional non-exchange study abroad programme
• separate tuition fees are charged by the host institution

Please contact the Fees and Student Support Team and arrange to be charged a lower fee by the University (£1,820 full year).
