Fee status

Like other universities in the United Kingdom, we assign you a fee status depending on whether you are from Scotland, the rest of the UK or overseas.

Before you can work out how much you will pay for your programme, you need to know what your fee status is.

Your fee status is not confirmed until after you apply for admission. Once you start studying, your fee status cannot be updated if your circumstances change.

Please be aware that due to volume it is currently taking us longer than normal to process fee status questionnaires. Please be assured that if you have submitted your fee status questionnaire, we will process this as soon as possible. If you have further documents to submit, please send this to fees@ed.ac.uk

As of December 1st, we are processing fee status questionnaires submitted on November 19th.
