We explain who sets our tuition fees, when they get published and where you can find them. Future fees We only publish tuition fees for the current academic year and for one year in advance. Who sets fees? Some tuition fees are set for us by the Scottish Government and by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Others are set by our Student Recruitment and Fee Strategy Group. Fees are also set in collaboration with other institutions when we share a degree programme. When are fees released? Tuition fees are normally released to the University at the start of each calendar year. However, some fees can take longer to be confirmed. This includes fees that are set for us by: the Scottish Government UK Research and Innovation Fees for new degree programmes are released and published throughout the year, whenever each programme is ready.
