Model a range of timetabling solutions for whole programmes Existing programmes As courses continue to grow, and staff and location resources change, the timetabling requirements for a programme may change year-on-year. The Modelling team is available to model alternative timetabling options for any existing programmes. We will use your existing programme structure and course delivery data to demonstrate alternative timetable configurations which are better aligned with available resources. Restructured programmes We can also model timetable options for new or restructured programmes. In these scenarios, we will rely on the School providing us with the correct programme and course delivery details to ensure all constraints are built into the model. Modelling at this level is typically based at core, whole-class level - although models are bespoke and options can be discussed in consultation with the Modelling team. Please contact us at student.analytics@ed.ac.uk with your modelling request, or for more information. It is likely in larger models (more than one programme/large scale programme restructure) that we will request a consultation meeting to discuss requirements in the first instance.
