If you have a question that is not covered here, please contact us TimetableHow do I access my timetable?Your personalised teaching timetable can be accessed through your Office365 account, which you can add to your phone, computer or other devices.Alternatively, students can also view their timetables via the Web Timetables application. In MyEd, ‘Timetables’ can be found in the 'Studies’ tab, under ‘My Course’ column (on the left hand side).Login into My Ed – www.myed.ed.ac.uk More information about your Student timetable can be found on our pages.How do I access my timetable on my phone?You can view your personalised timetable on your phone through Office 365 Outlook Calendar that is linked to your University student account. Please visit Information Services website for detailed instructions on how to set up Office 365 on your phone.What room is my class in?You can check your timetable on Web timetables or in Office 365 where the room will be shown for your classMy course runs repeat class and I think I’ve been allocated to the wrong instance?Please contact your School for further guidance. The School may subsequently liaise with the Timetabling Unit to implement necessary changes.My timetable does not display all my teaching commitments?The University is committed to delivering ‘whole-class’ timetable information (activities that all enrolled students attend together, e.g. lectures), and some Schools are also allocating the students to group activities (e.g. tutorials). Please confirm with your School how much timetabling information will be available to you.The information on my timetable does not match the information provided by the School (on Learn, in the course handbook etc.)?Please contact your School for confirmation of the timetable. Your personalised timetable displays current live timetable information which may have superseded course handbook or Learn information since they were published or uploaded.I can’t see my tutorial group on Learn. What should I do?Please contact your School to confirm this feature is available for your course.Nothing is showing on my personalised timetable?Please check with your Student Adviser/Personal Tutor that your course enrolments have been processed. Once you are enrolled on a course, your timetable will updated within 24h.What if my timetable changes?Any changes to your timetable will be automatically updated into your calendar within an hour of the central timetable being updated. Changes within the next week will be highlighted with UPDATED or CANCELLED in the event title. You should still watch out for communication from your School about changes and other events as it may not always be possible to update the timetable system in real timeStudy SpaceDo I have to book a study space?We encourage all students to book a study space. For student safety, it is essential you check-in to your study space upon arrival, and check-out upon departure. This is compulsory in order to help us manage safety and failure to do so may impact your right to book future study spaces. You can do this through our app, or online using our Webform.How do I book a roomYou can book a study space and check-in/out of your study space through our Webform.Student Group Study Space can be booked in the Main Library, Moray house Library, Law Library and KB Murray Library through Resource BookerWhere can I study?As of the 14th September 2020, there are spaces available to book in the Main and Veterinary libraries. For other study spaces; please refer to the complete list of study spaces above for an estimate of when other areas can be expected to open. Are accessible spaces available?Yes. The Student Disability Service will communicate directly with students who have provision for accessible study rooms. For more information, contact the Student Disability Service. What if I still have issues I need to discuss, or have a technical issue?EdHelp is our new student-facing support service and is available both online and at our Main Library, George Square, and the Murray Library, Kings Buildings. Link to EdHelpWhy are no rooms showing as bookable?If there are no rooms showing there are no rooms free at your required day and time. If you change your start and end times this may bring back results. There are also times when your booking will be outwith a building's opening hours so no results will appear. Contact Timetabling and Examinations services and we will advise on charges that would apply.What are the building opening hours?Building opening hoursCan I have food and drink in a study space?Only bottled water is allowed in study space rooms. Student GroupsHow do I book a room as a EUSA/EUSU Student Group?To book a room as a Student Group you need to complete the Student Groups Booking Form which can be accessed in the Timetabling channel in MyEdWhat is the expected response time to my Student Group request?You should normally hear back about a Student Group booking request within 2 working days. At some times in the year this reponse time may be longer.I'm not EUSA/EUSU registered. How do I book a room?If you are a non EUSA/EUSU society you can ask a member of staff in your School to place a booking on your behalf. The staff member who books the room will be responsible for the booking.Can we have external speakers and who do I inform?External speakers are allowed as long as you adhere to the University of Edinburgh policy on speakers and eventsCan we bring our own food?You are not allowed to bring your own food. If the room you have booked allows for catering you need to contact one of the University's approved caterers to supply the food. These are University of Edinburgh Hospitality and Events Collection, or Honours Catering.What is the expected code of conduct when using a room as a Student Group?Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for use of University space by Student Groups. If your booking is for a theatrical performance we require at least 7 working days notice.
