2020 Conference - Curriculum Futures

The third University of Edinburgh Learning and Teaching Conference, ‘Curriculum Futures’, was held online over four non-consecutive days from June 16th-25th 2020.

Keynote speakers

On day one, we were delighted to be joined by two keynote speakers:

  • Professor Sian Bayne (Director, Centre for Research in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh): The near future of teaching (and who gets to define it)
  • Colm Harmon (Vice Principal, (Students) at University of Edinburgh): Curriculum review, curriculum reform, and the COVID pivot

Conference themes

Throughout the four days of the conference, colleagues from across the University delivered a variety of engaging parallel sessions around the conference’s six sub-themes:

  • Student wellbeing
  • Questioning learning
  • Innovation in curriculum design
  • Inclusion and co-creation
  • Curriculum review and design
  • Digital curriculum

Delegates from the three Colleges also presented lightning talks, which were specially curated sessions of 10-minute papers showcasing the work of each College.
