Information about degree certificates

Frequently asked questions about degree certificates for 2024 graduates.

Degree certificates for recent graduates are currently being produced and posted.

When will my certificate be posted?

All students graduating in winter 2024 who are unable to attend their graduation ceremony will be asked to provide the address their certificate should be sent to by 4 November 2024.

If your address is provided by 4 November, we aim post the certificate by the end of December 2024.  If you provided your address after 4 November, your certificate may be posted in January 2025.

Depending on the country of residence, students who live outwith the UK/EU may have their degree sent via DHL. If the address you supplied is not accepted by DHL then you will be contacted in December 2024 with advice on the next steps.

If your certificate is being sent by DHL, you will receive an email when the delivery is underway.

Can I collect my certificate in person?

Certificates are being produced in several locations to allow us to post them as quickly as possible and we are not able to arrange collection in person.

How is my certificate being sent?

Most certificates are being sent by Royal Mail or DHL. View the method of posting by country.

There are a few locations that DHL do not deliver to. If this is applicable to your delivery address, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery method.

If we have contacted you to confirm your address or contact details, we will not be able to send your certificate until you have provided the information we have requested. Delays in responding may lead to your certificate being posted later.

Can I have an electronic copy of my certificate?

Certificates are printed on security paper and not available as electronic version.
